Wushu

Baku Sports Hall will be host a number of sports in 2017 including Wushu, which will take place from the 20th to 22st of May.
The competition will consist of men’s events in Wushu Sanda, which is a modern unarmed combat sport developed from traditional wushu techniques, and primarily makes use of punching, kicking, throwing, wrestling and defensive techniques.
It was developed in China after 1949, in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts. But nowadays, this type of sports has turned out to become an international sport. Whushu is composed of two disciplines: taolu and sanda, but the second one is a modern fighting method of Wushu.
