Volunteers met with soldiers in Tartar

The Executive Branch of Tartar district and AISGOC spend the last Tuesday of Nowruz holiday in the military unit located in the district. Representatives of local executive organs, the chairmen of municipalities located in the territory of district as well as the students and staff of sport school also attended this event.

First of all, the event started with the minute of silence for martyrs who sacrificed their life for the independence of their country, after that the national anthem of Azerbaijan Republic was played. The event started with the speech of the head of executive branch of Tartar district Mustagim Mammadov. Guests, soldiers and officers welcomed the staff of Baku 2017 Operations Committee and Baku 2017 Volunteers and congratulated them with the national holiday – Nowruz. The head of the district thanked The President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev for the care and attention to the army forces.

He stated that Azerbaijan Army is ready to perform its holy duties under the leadership of Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev.
“We are aware of the responsibility of being in military service in the frontline, which is situated at 48 km distance with the enemy. Our nation stands behind our army.”

Then the representative of the military unit, colonel lieutenant Fagan Aliyev took the floor: " Terter district is the frontline region. Every day we learn how to protect our land. Our lands are ours. I express my deep gratitude to the Vice President of Azerbaijan Republic and Chairman of the Operations Committee Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and to Corporate Director of Operations Committee Elchin Safarov."

Then the senior manager of Workforce Communications at AISGOC Afsun Gurbanov congratulated soldiers with the holiday.

Soldiers also shared their thoughts after the event. Soldier Novruz Misirli said: “I am originally from Cabrayil district and right now I am serving my military duty in Tartar. I think every young person should love his motherland. We have a great accommodation in the unit. I love doing sports, actually, I did karate for 5 years, and I am happy to have an opportunity to continue my trainings even during my military service. I wish the best of luck to the athletes who will participate in Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games this May. My dream is to see such sporting events held by our country in Karabakh.”

At the end of the event outstanding soldiers were awarded with certificates from the Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee and The Executive Branch of Tartar and valuable gifts.

 After the event, everybody gathered together around the holiday table, and celebrated Ilahyr Chershenbe.
